Cycling along The Iška River Meander Nature Trail
On the Day of Slovenian parks, 05/24/2015, the Ljubljana Marsh Nature Park organized guided cycling tour along The Iška River Meander Nature Trail. We started in the narrow gorge of the river Iška. With the help from guides and information boards we learned about natural and cultural features of Ljubljana Marsh, and the interdependence of man and water. Project LJUBA was presented, where it was emphasized the important role of agriculture in maintaining the biodiversity of the Ljubljana Marsh, and the threat posed by invasive alien species to nature and man. The trip was after 13 kilometers and 3 hours completed on the plain of the Ljubljana Marsh, by the pile dwelling in Lipe.
